    Each apprentice personally makes from start to finish a high end extension leaf dining table from rare solid woods, a comparable set of dining chairs, a piece of cabinetwork with dovetails etc., and an assortment of other pieces.     John Landis Cabinetworks, based in Yardley, Pennsylvania (20 miles north of Philadelphia) is now accepting applications for two openings in the 2004 - 2005 apprenticeship program in fine woodworking. The one year program focuses on a solid background in woodworking including: design, milling, joinery, turning, sculpting and finishing. Furthermore, the program concentrates on the key elements in starting and maintaining a professional career. Client interaction, design, advertising, pricing and bookkeeping are just a few of the areas covered in this comprehensive apprenticeship program.
