I just graduated with my BFA in visual art with an emphasis in ceramics. I am looking for an apprentice opportunity that would provide room & board along with studio use in exchange for hard work. I was the studio assistant at my school for the past 2 years and have great references. I am very enthusiastic and want to make art!

Lots of shop time working in metals. Would like to work in concrete, ceramics, and gain more experience in wood. Metal work includes: milling, plasma cuting, benders, tig, mig, stick, all types of hand tools and much more. I started out manufacturing Bike frames and then did all types of architectual metalwork, i've probably done everything atleast once. I am reponsible, dependable, pretty good problem solver and can read your mind (joking, but i'm a great sidekick).

Hello, I am Lindsay, and I am recent graduate of Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. I am a metals/Jewelry/cad-cam major. I would love the opportunity to be an apprentice to someone who makes a living in the art field whether it be by making furniture or objects. Though my experience is limited my passion and commitment is more that enough to prove I am willing to learn.

I own and operate a small remodeling and restoration contracting business. I also am attempting to develop a custom woodworking business. My focus is on furniture, specialty cabinetry and assorted artistic endeavors. I have a well equipped shop with a moderate work load. The purpose of this listing is to seek opportunities with others in this position who might be willing to offer partime work, apprenticeships, subcontracts for piece work, etc This is a passion for me and I want to pursue any opportunity I can that could provide a way to make a living with woodworking fulltime. All inquiries will be welcomed. Thank You

Hi my name is Christopher Jondle. I have been studying furniture design at The Savannnah College of Art and Design for the past four years and have an expected graduation at the end of August 2005 earning a BFA in furniture design. I have also participated in a furniture design program in Denmark last summer at DIS. I have experience working in design in all of its phases as well as prototyping and building. I have worked in wood metal and plastics. My experience in Denmark was a key in my development as a designer and as on a personal level. This is why I am seeking out an apprentice. I am dedicated and hard working. I would love the experience and believe it is an important step in my development.

I am a 29 yr old fine arts grad with formal training in painting and printmaking, but an interest in functional art and craftsmanship. I am currently employed with a roofing/framing crew and have basic constuction and hand tool knowledge, as well as basic woodshop experience with common shop machines. I would enjoy working with any material, but am most familiar with wood. I am looking for an opportunity to learn and grow as an artist and craftsman. Hardworking and dependable. Full or part time.

Are you considering an apprentice but not sure if the time to train is worth the value in trade. Please consider myself as I am a seasoned professional engineer with woodworking, carpentry, metalworking, painting, stone, photography, computer experience. I am looking to hit the ground running for you, but what I want in return is to work for the best "ultra high end" artistic furniture craftsman.
