Last year we made big changes. We moved the show to the more intimate and atmospheric setting of the Cruise Ship Terminal at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, included more traditional furniture makers and changed to an administrative structure where exhibitors had much more control over the invitational process, decisions about the show, and a greater role in marketing.

Many exhibitors liked this new direction, took a chance on our first year, and had a great experience. To those exhibitors who took that chance, please accept our thanks and see below for the changes we are making this year for an even better show.

And to those potential exhibitors who sat on the fence to see what would happen; wait no longer. With a terrific first year under our belt we are honing the show for an even more successful second season.

Here are some of the changes for our second year as the PIFS:

• In response to an initiative from the Exhibitor Advisory Committee, we are offering up to 200 free show tickets to offer to preferred clients (see our application for how the free ticket program interacts with our incentives for early application) . The consensus is that any loss of revenue would be more than offset by the increase in traffic and marketing buzz created by this promotional idea.
  

• To increase the ease of attending and exhibiting at the PIFS, we are offering free parking to exhibitors and attendees as well.
  

• We are moving the lecture area out of the exhibition space and into the food service area.
  

• We are putting together an even bigger preview party for the  Friday night before the show opens.
